In the summer of 2009 Marines of 2nd Battalion 8th Marines embarked on a journey that would forever change us all. Our enemies drew a line in the sand of Helmand province and dared us to cross. As Marines do we kicked the door in. As the years pass and interest of the public fades I think about those days and that fight more and more. All of my brothers that were there and endured what we endured I want to say thank you. This movie is our story and we should be proud of what we accomplished together. The makers of this film were there with us side by side when the bullets were flying. Not a day goes by that I dont think about those days and the true heroes that were all around me. We are scattered now but we were one then! Brothers, watch this movie with pride and smile, laugh, cry, and reminisce. Remember the good days, the bad days, and of course remember our brothers that gave all for us. Brothers of 2/8 I love you all and I hope this movie tells our story well.
