My classmate Jasmine Moriaz George Amakos nominated me to do the Thankful challenge...so here is Day 1: 1. Im thankful to have been able to spend 3 months with my parents and form a bond and friendship beyond anything I ever imagined. I miss them terribly but am grateful that I have many cherished memories to keep me going until I can see them again! 2. Im thankful that my 4 year old niece, Laie, made me PINKY PROMISE that I would go down the slide at the Turtle Bay pool with her. I was CHICKEN and tried to get our of doing it BUT I did finally go down and overcame a small fear today. It was hillarious and a much needed moment of joy today ;-) 3. Im thankful for modern medicine and a kind Veterinarian. I came home to Kayla with her eyes swollen shut and very lethargic :-( Thankfully this has happened before and the Vet told me to keep childrens benadryl on hand and give her a dose and wait an hour before calling the emergency line. So i did and thank the Lord that she is back to her adorable self. This was much easier than rushin her to the ER !
