In these times when Facebook seems to be a competition in writing POLITICALLY CORRECT updates I just felt an urge to share some thoughts. A person is NOT 100% defined by his thoughts or opinions on a certain matter (it should go without saying but spend a few minutes on Facebook and you will most likely find many updates where people consider others to be total idiots because of his/hers beliefs). Behind most extreme thoughts/acts theres a perfect explanation. A history of some kind that is the reason why someone feels a certain way or manifest him/her on a way normal people find offensive. We all know that, right? Even rascists and extremely violent criminals came to this world as pure human beings. Slowly we grow up and become a result of what we go through in life. Most of the times its the lack of a working society that is the reason why things go bad. We just dont have the resources to to get people on the right track before its too late. Every time we read about someone whos done something horrifc the person behind it is a just as much (or even more) a victim of our non-working society. When we choose to hate these people we close every door there is to make a change. So please, every time you meet a rascist or someone who just acts in a way or has done things you just cant understand stop for a minute and think. Try to understand and if theres a chance: TALK to the person. So my challenge to you this weekend is: Get to know a rascist! Try to understand and open up for a conversation. Who knows, you might even be able to change his/hers view of the world?
