In thinking about the "lesser" people left in the land, - TopicsExpress

In thinking about the "lesser" people left in the land, I remembered a church in a small Ohio town where I lived as a young girl. There was a terrific church split. If memory serves me, I believe the rebuffed deacons and trustees determined to starve out the pastor. All the "important" people, the ones with money or status in the church and community, fled. To the surprise of everyone, those "lesser" people were far from "nothings." They were talented men and woman who stepped right into the vacant spots emptied by the "better" people. To our surprise, there were musical folk, praying folk, and spiritual folk. God has people of all varieties and stripes, whom He has prepared to fill in the gap when needed. The sad part is that those very people could have been used previously for the edification of the church body, but were never asked. The “important” people always took over.
