In this election season when election fever is at climax, I have observed different types of people related to their opinion on Narendra Modi: 1. Straight Forward and Practical Thinkers: My vote for Modi as there are no better alternatives and he is the only hope(doesnt care about development or secularism). 2. Rational but Pessimistic Thinkers: My vote for anyone but Modi as he has tainted past and if he comes to power secular fabric of the country would be destroyed. They accept that he has done development in Gujarat. But riots are the biggest issue.Matter closed. 3. Rational but Optimistic Thinkers: My vote for Modi as he is a strong leader, will replicate Gujarats model of development on national scale and we will prosper. About Modis tainted past they think that he has been given clean chit by SIT and there has been no riots in Gujarat for last 12 years and it is a non-issue now. Matter closed. 4. Utopian Thinkers: These people will vote only if Mahatma Gandhi comes back and fights general elections. 5. Anti-Modi Thinkers: My vote is not for Modi. Whatever he does will lead to end of so called India as a country. 6. Pro-Modi Thinkers: My vote for Modi. Whatever he does will make India supreme power and he is the only solution to all ills India is facing today. 7. Who Modi Thinkers: These are people mainly from the field of art who sees world from completely different angle. For them Modi is irrelevant to India. *** Personally, I would stay away from people falling into 4,5 and 6 category as utopia, blind hate and blind admiration are paths to nowhere. I belong to category 3. Where do you belong?
