In this sloka Krishna tells Arjuna to conquer his senses and not allow kama, desires, false ego to kill his possibility reaching real knowledge, to find the real true self, to get enlightenment and liberation. Satguru Sri Swami Sachhidanand Paramahansa is explaining in his teachings that it is not the solution to overcome desires by bodily or mental force, but by real meditation of awareness to become aware of your true self, that is not your body, mind, intellect and ego. That your real self is free from bodily and material desires. He can teach you how to overcome and detach from all that is not your eternal true self, and to get enlightenment, and become your real self, the Divine Light and Love of God.
