In three days, I am going to Ohio. It will be my first opportunity to visit to Lexis grave since the funeral. I hope that I am up for it. Just thinking about it makes me a little bit nervous and a lot weepy. Thankfully though, I will be able to finalize the plans for the marker so that it can be installed. Im in two groups now for parents of children with ependymoma. I havent been able to get too involved because Lexis death is so recent and Im just not ready though through posts, I realized that one mothers child left this earth on the very same day that Lexi did from the same disease. How many have to die before we come up with a cure for this??? There are so many and they are from England, Australia, the EU, as well as so many right here in the US. There is a family right now who is spending their final days -- perhaps hours -- with their little own baby girl named Cam (Campbell) who is around Lexis age. With (Mc)Campbell being my maiden name, her being close in age to Lexi and having a tumor at the brain stem that was supposedly cured....makes it a little harder to stay detached . Please pray for Cam as she makes her journey to Heaven. My sweet baby cousin, Lauren Paige and my darling Lexi are going to have another BFF to play with real soon.
