In your status, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Dont think too hard. They dont have to be the right books or great works of literature, but they should be ones that have affected you in some way. Here are mine: 1. “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” by Judy Blume (Good for reading on the bus). 2. “Phrenology: The Key to Limitless Understanding of Character and Personality as Revealed by the Configurations and Regions of the Head” by Sybil Leek (Now I just need to figure out a socially acceptable way to start massaging someone’s skull within 5 minutes of meeting them). 3. “Bi-Curious George” by Andrew Simonian (Why are they reading this to kids???) 4. “My Little Pony Hearts and Hooves” by Jennifer Fox (Spoiler alert: they don’t skimp on the hooves – or the hearts!!) 5. “Squeaky: The Life and Times of Lynette Alice Fromme” by Jess Bravin (Oh Squeaky – so misunderstood. I don’t know how they crammed your story into 432 pages) 6. “How to Hide: A Practical Guide to Vanishing and Taking Your Assets With You” by David Wilkening (I probably shouldn’t have listed this one) 7. How to Make Your Baby an Internet Celebrity: Guide Your Child To Success and Fulfillment” by Rick Chillot (Now I just need someone to loan me a baby – the book promises fulfillment so it’s not exploitation at all) 8. Dow 36,000: The New Strategy for Profiting from the Coming Rise in the Stock Market” by James Glassman and Kevin Hassett (1999) 9. “Dow, 30,000 by 2008 Why It’s Different This Time – Second Printing” by Robert Zuccaro (I really thought they’d get it right the second time) 10. “50 Shades of Grey” by E.L. James (I thought it was another Judy Blume book) 11. “The Inner Traveler’s Guidebook to Moyo: Discovering the Power of Listening to Your Own Heart” by Linda Newlin (Thank you, Moyo - I’ve been hearing, but I haven’t been listening)
