Incredible. From: Amos Chan The Kowloon City Court has banned protesters arrested during the Mong Kok clearance action, including lawmaker Leung Kwok-hung, popularly known as Long Hair, and Scholarism leader Joshua Wong, from entering a large area in Mong Kok, as one of the bail conditions. The condition - proposed by the prosecution - covers the area enclosed by Fa Yuen Street, Dundas Street, Shanghai Street and Mong Kok Road. The area is larger than that stated in the High Court injunctions against the Occupy protests. Lawyer for the defendants had argued that such a bail condition breaches their constitutional rights. He added that this is unnecessary and unlawful, as the clearance has ended and theres no real risk of his clients re-offending. But principal magistrate, Mr Justice Peter Law, disagreed. But the court has allowed them to travel through the area. The defendants are charged with obstructing bailiffs. No plea has been entered. The cases have been adjourned until January 14 to allow for further inquiries. Mr Leung and Mr Wong were among 31 protesters who appeared at the Kowloon City Court.
