India and Pakistan cannot ignore the long felt yearning for peace in Jammu and Kashmir, and both countries should work for restoration of complete peace and ceasefire along the Line of Control and International Border. Whenever tempos of war are raised between the two countries the worst sufferers are people of J&K, and every bullet or shell which is fired is likely to hit resident of J&K, whether on this side or that side, hence every effort should be made to restore peace here. Efforts are required for building a strong peace initiative so that no more miseries are inflicted on common people here. PDP remains committed to work for strengthening such peace initiatives and build on them to ensure durable peace which is not held hostage either by war mongering hawks or trigger happy forces of any kind.
