Industries Covered Engineering & Construction Industry Brief Description When multiple prime contractors are submitting infrastructure 3D models, scheduling and cost estimate data to the owner the data is prone to have conflicts and issues. Current technology does not provide a one‐stop‐shop solution and therefore the CIM team developed a workflow with 50+ software, hardware, networking and database solutions to accomplish the requirements of the project. The data was standardized with appropriate language in the contract documents signed off with contractors and their sub‐contractors. The data submitted to the owner was reviewed by the CIM team for compliance and correctness. Then the CIM team integrated the data of tens of contractors for collaborative review, conflict identification and resolution. After a comprehensive integrated model was developed, the construction schedules were linked for construction simulation and for evaluating construction progress against a baseline schedule. Further, cost estimate data was reviewed against the backdrop of the 3D models for objective calculation of construction or program costs.
