Here you can read the english and german issue. => Interview with PromoFabrik 19.06.10 UNDER CONTROL Reviews We have collect some reviews about our new album UNDER CONTROL. => Reviews UNDER CONTROL 01.02.10 Under Control release date 26.02.2010 HIOCTAN has always been a band far away from any conformity and social conventions. Under Control is their third longplayer and the typical HIOCTAN-sound still kicks ass. Classic DarkElectro combining harsh sounds, distorted vocals as well as choirs and kettledrums with melancholically arranged strings culminate in an album full of corroding interhuman feelings. Honest music for honest people! Under Control does not even try to keep up with modern trends - especially the audio-engineering was put into special focus in order to create a sound more transparent than all the HIOCTAN releases ever had before. HIOCTANs lyrics have always been very critical towards social issues. The track Aim of Life deals with all the people that try to live along social conventions - bound to rules they are forced to obey - waiting for the end to come in the neverending spiral of time. Passion of Cruelty denounces persecution of heathens - while Sonderbehandlung 14f13 addresses genocide during WWII. Elektrisch Festival with Leatherstrip The master of dark electronic music Claus Larsen aka Leatherstrip is back on the stage and plays at the BPM Club Zwickau on 27th february. We are proud to be a part of this event . 11.11.09 Black Snow - the different Xmas compilation Black Rain has gone crazy! Never believed that there will ever be a Christmas compilation with Electro- and Gothic-tracks? Here it is! Black Snow - the ultimate but completely different Black Rain Label Group Christmas/Yule compilation! 16 songs - rocking and crazy - contemplative and funny - all mixed up in one unique melange of Dark Wave, Industrial and Electro sounds. Releasedate is 20th of November. For this compilation we have created a new version of the traditional hebrew song HAVA NAGILA 20.03.09 Faces of Kopenhagen added We have added some pictures from our concert during the 10 years of Black Rain Celebration in Kopenhagen. See also pictures from the whole event together with Birmingham6 and Feindflug here 06.01.09 10 Years Black Rain We have the possibility to play on one of the upcoming 10 years of Black Rain concerts. 02.12.08 UNDER CONTROL Long time ago that someting was written here about the release of the new album. UNDER CONTROL will come. The songs are finished, but it needs some days to mix and finalize the songs. We are not friend of this current development which is called Hell-Electro. With our new output we want to show that in dark electronic music is much more possible. 10.10.08 Real Life I [Michael] have moved to Hamburg where the real life has catched me. After my studies with much time for the music now I am a part of the workforce. It is pleasure to work for the european aircraft consortium on the biggest airplane ever, but sometimes it seems to be captured in a timeloop. About this feeling I have finished the song Aim of life which will be released on the upcoming album UNDER CONTROL. 26.09.08 Collaboration My friend Fiet from the Dark-Elektro projekt Totalverlust has joined the projekt Hioctan. Together we have created two new songs for the upcoming album. 08.09.08 Pictures from Athen added It was a pleasure to play for this awesome audience together with Hocico. Until now we have 8 songs finished. In some days it will be possible to hear snippets of exclusive songs. 14.06.06 Body Beatz Festival We play together with E-Craft, Painbastard, Amnistia and Nothing To Fear on the Body Beatz Festival. Thats an open air at Gastrose in the near of Guben. More Information about that take here. 14.04.06 Maschinenklang Prora On 28.04 we will play at Maschinenklang in Prora / M3. 03.04.06 Morbid Vision Hioctan has made a rework of the song Morbid Vision from the spanish band Asseptic Room. This track will be released on their new album in the middle of 2006. 15.03.06 New Tracks We have start the production for the next album. CTU-Project is absolutly non-profit and spends the earned money to a charity organisation. For the exact release date visit later. 14.04.05 Pictures We have taken some new pictures. 06.04.05 Elektroanschlag-Compilation Hioctan has made a song, which is a total revision of One Man from the last album Headscan, for the Elektroanschlag-Compilation. This compilation contains tracks from the bands, which played on the Elektroanschlag-Festival in the last 3 years. 09.02.05 United Vol. I After four years of NoiTekk, the first label compilation United Vol. I is released, which is a collection of label acts, newcomers and well-known bands. Hioctan has included the song Walk Upright of the upcoming album. 08.01.05 Endzeit Bunkertracks Vol. 1 Endzeit Bunkertracks Vol.1 is a 4-CD compilation from Alpha Matrix with songs by Suicide Commando, Dioxyde, Wumpscut, Grendel, Hocico, Yelworc, ... and Hioctan. This Compilation will be released on 7th March. 03.11.04 decoder v2.0 Infacted Recordings has released Decoder v2.0 which is compiled by Johan van Roy from Suicide Commando. The Track Narrow by Hioctan is included.
