Information about the Grass Roots Clinic: 1. All Participants - TopicsExpress

Information about the Grass Roots Clinic: 1. All Participants meet on the grass in front of Bloom Pavilion at 7:30 am. The morning session will begin at approximately 8:00 am with a lunch break around noon. Russell McCord, NCHA Director of Judges, will conduct the morning session in a classroom type setting explaining how cutters can pick up a point or lose several points in their herd work. In this session, Russell supplements the information with several runs for students to watch on DVD. 2. The live works session starts at approximately 1:00 pm and is limited to 25 riders (any number of attendees from the morning session are welcome to stay and observe the live works from the stands for no additional charge). The live works session allows the participant to cut 3 cows (no clock). After each cut, the run is critiqued by the Judge (Russell McCord) and trainer Craig Morris, allowing for feedback of three cuts per participant. We are excited to have officials from NCHA and many of our Area Directors coming to the Cascade Cow Cutters Grass Roots Event. This will be a perfect time to meet various NCHA directors and officials. Any questions please feel free to email me at schaper-horses@hotmail or call 509-552-1079 Thanks, Jason Schaper
