Instead of continuing to be dependent on Eskom, whose management seem to be incompetent and unaccountable, lets start paying small enterprises to bring us our electricity: local solar installing companies, small wind, biogas etc etc etc... Getting ourselves off the grid decentralises power (not just electricity, but those who hold the decision making over our electricity) and invests in small local economic endeavours. Leave those incompetent *£$^@£&£ to pick up their collapsed silos on their own time, without disrupting our matriculants as they write their finals, or hospital staff trying to keep people in ICU stable, or all those businesses that keep the economy ticking over.
