Here are some of the PREFERENCES for adoption. The rescue is selective as this breed requires more scrutiny than most other breeds: 1) Experience with the breed 2) Physical fencing, underground fencing in an appropriate location 3) Adopters aged 25 years and older 4) Homeowners who live in the following counties: Marion, Hendricks, Hamilton Shelby, Boone, Brown, Morgan, Johnson, and Hancock County. Each preference was created based on experience. The preferences ensure the least likely chance of a return and a home that will keep the shepherd from returning to a kill-shelter.
