Severe Thunderstorm Warning for: City of Saskatoon ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 6:50 PM CST Friday 5 July 2013 Summary Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a slow-moving thunderstorm with very heavy downpours capable of producing 50 to 75 mm of rainfall. At 6:50 PM CST Doppler RADAR indicated that this severe thunderstorm was located over Saskatoon and was nearly stationary. Take cover, if threatening weather approaches. Local downpours can cause flash floods. Avoid driving through water on roads. Even shallow fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation closely.
