***Interesting advert on Domestic Violence and peoples perceptions of it*** This video shows how differently the public react to a woman being attacked by a man compared to when its the other way around. The advert, featuring two actors, shows a man abusing his girlfriend in a London park. Moments after he starts to get physically violent with her several passers-by intervene and even threaten to call the police. A clip is then shown with the roles reversed, and we see quite a different scene. Members of the public laugh or pay no attention as the woman assaults and belittles her partner. The video, created by DareLondon for the Mankind Initiative, it is intended to highlight the issue of domestic violence against men, and carries the hashtag #ViolenceIsViolence.
