Interesting read. Well, at least for the 150 out of 1459 of you that will ACTUALLY see this post;) This Musician Page has taken me a long time to develop. Im frustrated when I see my posts only reach 1-15% of the people who have clicked the LIKE button (which used to be free). The idea of artists in my range (small business) paying for content delivery through a medium where I create the content without compensation feels like a double negative. Its ridiculous. FB feels a lot like MySpace these days. You know, like a Windows 95 graphite wallpaper website with flashing neon buttons. Haha. Whats the point of this page? FB limits my cap on friends on my personal page so I cant build my network that way, then charge me to use their service on this page to reach the fans that chose to follow me when it was all a free platform. Seems like the only business that it serves is FB. If I signed up for this service when I created this page, that would be one thing. But this was a free service and then they changed the rules. So Im left with approximately 1500 folks from all over the world that want to check in on what Im doing, and I cant reach them unless I pay...Nah. No thanks. Like my small business doesnt incur enough accumulative expenses that make the bottom line thin already. So, for the few of you that are still reading this, you have a couple of options. 1) Add me as a friend on my personal page if were not already. Or, just FOLLOW my personal page. 2) Send me a message with your email address and Ill add you to my mailing list. *** Email is still free*** (relatively;) Actually, THIS OPTION is #1. Email me. 3) You can hover over the LIKE button and click get notifications. But, to be honest, Im actually thinking of just sending every one of the 1459 people who like this page a personal message asking them to send me their email or contact info so I can just delete this page. 4) Delete FB. Im getting really close. Big Love. BT:) digitalmusicnews/permalink/2014/05/08/artistasksfacebookwhydoihavetopay?utm_content=buffer61320&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=buffer
