Interesting to see peoples reaction to this trending video. However, the problem is not Facebook, its how *some* people are deciding to use it. There is nothing inherently wrong with the tool itself- its the people. I’ve always said, Facebook sucks if your friends suck. The value of Facebook, Twitter, Insta etc. is dependent upon the people you follow (or are friends with). If you follow or are friends with people that suck- your experience with either of these websites will suck. It’s as simple as that. The websites themselves are dependent upon sharing and creating content- its how these social networks work. YOUR participation and your friends participation is what makes it valuable. If you logged into either Twitter or Facebook and no one updated their status, uploaded a photo or did anything- there wouldnt be anything there. It would just be a blank page. Your friends in these networks defines what you experience with Twitter or Facebook etc. Facebook is a networking tool. It’s a tool that connects real people. Twitter is a tool that also connects real people. And because of that people’s experience with social media tools is unique to each individual- its not the network that is the problem. All they do is facilitate communication by different vehicles/methods.
