Posting End Date: 31-Oct-2013 The role The purpose of this job is to ensure delivery of software and professional services to the client in accordance with agreed requirements, and to company standards. This may involve gathering and documenting business requirements and functional specifications and filling a translation role between the developer and the client. The role entails following requirements through the systems development lifecycle from conception, to implementation in production. The job involves working with the client to develop business processes models, whilst ensuring the consistency of the process and data models at conceptual and logical levels. You may be required to define system requirements, write Functional specifications, design process flow diagrams, test and ensure the end product meets the client’s expectations. This may entail working with the UAT team to ensure successful sign-off. Key accountabilities 3-5 years working experience as a Business Analyst with clients and writing specifications Experience in the Mobile industry would be an advantage but not a prerequisite Matric and Related Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Information Technology Ability to gather high-level requirements through facilitation of client workshops Working closely with clients to compile detailed business and/or functional specifications Compiling process flow diagrams/sequence diagrams Contributing “best practice” Ability to draft test packs, conduct testing and produce test results Seeing your software through the UAT process and ensuring quality of delivery Participation in software implementation Providing support through the final hand-over and sign-off process Involvement during the entire project cycle through analysis, design, development, configuration, testing and implementation phases. Building and maintaining a strong and trusting relationship with the client Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, professional and engaging. Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task where necessary Skills & experience Excellent client relationship and general communication skills Able to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to deal professionally with all levels of the team Strong documentation skills with attention to detail A strong analytical individual with exceptional aptitude for problem solving and attention to detail A lateral thinker with business reporting skills Must have an ability to use own initiative Self motivated displaying a high level of energy and an entrepreneurial spirit Committed at all times to delivering quality and service excellence Own transport and able to commute to Midrand and/or Houghton Send CV to [email protected]
