Iowa Sportsmen Please Read and Share with others. Well folks in the final stages of language writing for the NEW Habitat Stamp Bill proposal for 2015 Hunting & Fishing Habitat Stamp programs.Under each, I will be suggesting a $2 dollar increase to both to Support an Aquatic Management Program for Iowas Rivers, Cold Water Streams and Iowa Lakes. The revenues generated will be combined and utilized in 3 year cycles as a match revenues stream for federal conservation revenues or of the like programs that match sportsmen s revenues to accomplish Habitat Restoration, Enhancement, Acquisitions and Conservation easements that allow public access. Money is specifically protected for those specific purposes and cannot be utilized for anything else. This could be Timber restoration work, Back water work, aquatic habitat restoration and structure etc. At the present suggested revenue stream, 3 Million dollars will be generated in said 3 year cycles. Each specific aspect of the program would obtain 1 Million that would use said revenues as leverage for federal conservation or other match revenue opportunities. With a minimum match at 3 to 1 or the maximum 4 to 1, Each program would have the ability to generate 4 Million to 5 Million per ( AMA ) program. Thats 12 million to 15 million per 3 year cycle that is to be directly applied to improve, enhance, restore, acquire and protect vital Habitat in and along our Rivers, Stream and Lakes. Our Fisheries will greatly improve along with other wild game that utilize these resources for survival. Presently Iowa Does Not Have an Aquatic Management Area Program that helps Iowa Sportsmen accomplish Habitat Objectives along our Rivers, Streams or Lakes that could assist Iowa Sportsmen Accomplish greater Habitat Objectives. I ask and hope for your Support for the above Legislative Proposal that I have been working on. When it is Finished I will put the full version up for all Sportsmen to Read and share with others. Some of you may not know that I write these Bills with very strict guidelines that protects Iowa sportsmen s revenues from other form of allocations. That means, Every Penny, Every Dime and Every Dollar will be specifically spent on Habitat improvement and access. Pure and Simple.
