I hope you havent just had dinner.... Just a little reminder that even thought it is cooling down, bot season isnt over yet. These fat little larvae were picked out if a periodontal pocket (where there is a little hole in the gum and between the teeth that food gets stuck and rots- it is also the favorite hangout place for these little guys) in a young horses mouth during a routine dental today. The next big frost will kill off the rest of those pesky boy flys, but in the meantime make sure you actually get around to removing those bot fly eggs on your horsess legs this weekend and give them a wormer that contains a boticide in the next few weeks!!
