Irony at its finest. At the White House, Mr. Obama bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom — conceived by Kennedy a half-century ago as the nation’s highest civilian honor — on Mr. Clinton and 15 other luminaries from the worlds of sports, politics, journalism and academia. In 1998, he was impeached for perjury before a grand jury and obstruction of justice during a lawsuit against him, both related to a scandal involving a White House intern.
