Is it bad that the only reason Im not really interested in purchasing a graduation photo is because my legs look short and fat? Im suddenly reminded of that time in high school when I, extremely uncharacteristically for me, kinda broke down about having acne, crooked teeth, way too much body hair, being called fat every day and just generally feeling horrible about myself. You know how social convention dictates that in such circumstances your answer should be Nooo, dont be silly, youre so hot and stuff... complimented by the best acting skills you can muster up. Instead, the answer I got was: Well.... at least youre smarter than all of us. Its funny because 10 years later aka 5 years of non-ballet life experience later aka a couple of confirmations of alleged intelligence later aka some much needed education in feminism later... this otherwise very self-aware young woman is still instinctively influenced by the same crap she usually criticizes passionately.
