Is it just me, or is the elf on a Shelf book just not a good book? I was expecting way more quality from it. I have been reading it to Savanna over and over again and talking about the elf that is to come (she has not idea that the book came with an elf) and what he is going to do and what is expected of her and as far as I can tell, she is going to name him Red- well, its that or Shelf, she thinks his name is Shelf, but I have suggested others and so far Red is the only one that gets a thumbs up from the 2-year-old. I figure we will have Red the last week before Christmas.
