Is it really even debatable? Best hitting catcher of all time and gave every single New Yorker watching this game 10 days after 9/11 a reason to stand up and cheer and be normal and even someone I know to weep like a child! I fully expect to finally have another Met named to Cooperstown tomorrow. Perhaps after Mike gets in, maybe the selection committee will take their heads out of the asses and honor my late Uncle Mike by letting in his favorite Met (and Brooklyn Dodger) of all time, Gil Hodges. After all, what Gil did in 1969 is hall of fame worthy in and of itself.
