Is it true that an abused human has lingering psychological issues after the abuse? Can those issues be passed on to subsequent generations? If we (AMERICA) think that we have adequately dealt with racism by ending slavery, passing civil rights legislation, and electing an almost black president we are really shortsighted. Racism is innate in our countries DNA. We wouldnt have an AMERICA if we hadnt SLAUGHTERED WHOLESALE the NATIVE population. We then perpetuated the most abhorrent of TRADES in human history to build up our young nation economically. NOW, we are facing similar issues with civil rights, economic disparity, and class that have NEVER been properly addressed. We put bandaids on old wounds and smother the possibility of letting FRESH air in. Our economy is inhumane. We have tried to heal wounds by giving people a supposedly fair market and social welfare to make their life better, but we have failed miserably in addressing the real issue. OUR AMERICAN SOUL IS SICK. The issues currently in the news are symptoms of this sickness. WHITE power run amok, again. UGH!
