Is it true that in Pakistan progressive Facebook pages that talk about religious harmony, peace and equality for all have been banned while anti-Shia, anti-Hindu, anti-Ahmedi, anti-Christian, anti-peace, pro-Taliban, pro-war pages are operating freely? Yes it is. Does that sound surprising given that Pakistan claims to be fighting against Taliban and other fundamentalists, who have been most consistently opposed precisely by these progressives, socialists and humanists? It doesnt sound surprising to you? It does to me. I am always surprised by internal contradictions. Maybe they are not fighting fundamentalism after all but rather just pretending to fight it. Just like they were pretending to be against the most wanted man in the world as he was hiding in a compound that was owned by the intelligence bureau of Pakistan. Ponder over these contradictions for a little while and you will come to a conclusion that is very different than the one that the ruling classes and their cronies want you to believe. Wake up before you are silenced permanently.
