Is the current Egypt scenario a strong possibility of occurring in Tunisia? After several murders of top "secularists" by far-right Islamists, people have poured out on the streets to demand the ouster of the Ennahda Islamist regime in Tunisia. "Secularists" seem to be more numerous in Tunisia than in most of the Arab world. Ennahda rules through a coalition, rather than outright, as the Muslim Brotherhood did in Egypt. The Arab Spring began in Tunisia back in 2011, with the ouster of dictator Ben Ali. However, things seem to be on the verge of change again. Is the Arab Spring a move by the Arab world to achieve greater openness and democracy post-dictatorships/monarchies, or is it simply a reshuffling of power, in a scramble to determine where power will rest its head next? Tunisia seems to hold the key to explain this dilemma. It is certainly worth following closer in the next few months. aljazeera/news/africa/2013/08/2013824144611880203.html
