Born September 24, 1946 in Greene County Indiana she was the daughter of Richard Paul & Margie (Riggle) Sparks. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Michael Arney of Loogootee. 3 children William Gillis Arney of Solsberry, Paul Allen Arney of Newberry, & Leslie Joe Crop of Loogootee. 5 grandchildren, & 1 Brother David Sparks of Jasonville. She was preceded in death by her parents 1 brother & her step-dad Junior Lee Allen. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday May 11, 2006 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons. He was a member of Jasonville Masonic Lodge #530, Sons of the American Legion, Lyons Post #479, and life member of Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. David married his soulmate, Lesa Ann Goukenour, on 23 January 1971 at Worthington, Greene County, Indiana. Dave is survived by 3 children, David (Cindy) Sparks, Jr. Evansville, Ronald M. Sparks, II, Lyons, Season Weddle, Bloomfield; 9 grandchildren, Megan, Trey, Keshia, Trevor, Melvin Lane, Taylor, Jayden, Nayson, and Elesabeth; 4 great grandchildren, Madisyn, Quentin, Mia, and Ireland. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul R. Sparks, mother and step-father, Margie & Junior Allen; wife, Lesa (Gouckenour) Sparks; brother, Ronald Sparks, sister, Brenda Arney. A memorial service will be 2:00 P. M., Saturday, Februay 11, 2011, at Lyons United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Cooper officiating.
