GM Dr. Remy Presas does not stamp the seal to any certificate unless he see that you deserve and qualify to get it. I am in his standing and will not sell, bribe, freely give out the certificate, without all the requirement of Modern Arnis. This must includes the latest techniques of Modern Arnis (Visadario), the Anyo (Empty Hand and Solo Baston), and all the classical techniques. The Modern Arnis Certificate with the seal is very very prestigious and getting very rare. Since most of the original students are very old and have passed away who have this Seal. If you are a candidate to become a Modern Arnis Lakan, you will need to start with Probational Lakan. This will give us both comfort if you can meet all the required syllabus, character, loyal, and show the continuous advancement of Modern Arnis always. Please note it does not matter if you are already a Lakan in Modern Arnis or another System of FMA, you must go through the process of learning and showing that you are open minded. This is why it is called Modern Arnis- keep it always continuously to its Modern Practice of Arnis. Remember Arnis is not just the teminology of Filipino Stick Fightning but a terminology of Filipino Martial Arts of Empty Hand and Weaponry. We go beyond stick banging in Modern Arnis.
