Isnt this the truth!?!? The world and even Christians have this very warped perception of Jesus....as if He was some live and let live hippie. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus never said, never testified and never taught.....Peace on earth and good will toward men. Jesus said there will be wars and rumours of wars! Jesus said, (paraphrasing) I came to divide, divide father against son, mother against daughter. In other words He came to divide the truth from lies even if it caused hardship.....the truth is more important than our traditions.Ever wonder why Gods Word is refered to as armour? To put on the full armour of God....as in to prepare to go to war. Spiritually and yes, at times physically. I am not saying that ultimately Jesus wouldnt want men to stop killing each other....because I think He would, but I believe His Word shows us that Jesus is more interested in the truth....regardless if it offends.
