It appears that people feel my views are biased towards a particular party. So let me clear the air. But before I do, let me set the foundation from my way of reasoning. 1.We have wicked problems and dilemmas on SXM to deal with; 2. Any party wanting to help change SXM for the better will have their work cut out for them and not to mention the short window of opportunity to make some core decisions and priorities (costs versus benefits approach) considering world affairs; 3. A short window means you cannot afford to have persons in there talking about deals and wheeling and dealing for themselves, family, and old boy network and then see what crumbs can be given to the people. The people done got enough crumbs by the way. 4. The old economic system has since evolved and is still evolving whereby many still dont get this and living according to the old rules. The ground beneath us has shifted ~ Obama 5. We need young professionals who has the country at heart and who has no or little assets, businesses, networks, etc to safeguard and thus they do not need to keep the status quo in order to protect what they have. 6. Development can never be measured with how many bridges you build, how many hotels you build, how many tourist comes here, etc. You measure development by the better living conditions of a people. If the living conditions have not improved for a people then in my view no development has taken place. I think the word development needs to be defined so people can understand its real meaning so here it goes: Development Defined: A progression from a simple form to a more complex one: evolution, evolvement, growth, progress Steady improvement, as of an individual or a society: betterment, improvement, progress. 7. Money, power, position, etc has very little influence on me. I can play comfortably from any position (bottom, middle, up) and dont want to be no God in the eyes of people. There is only one God and I respect that. 8. I dont trust mankind in general but I do look at their fruits to determine if to support but also when to withdraw support as well. That basic foundation being established, I have never asked anyone, any party, etc for favoritism, to hook me up, etc. Everything I have accomplished is because I burst my tail and work my ass off to achieve. My assets are not in SXM (not by choice but by SXM circumstances) so I dont have anything to fight here for but I do want to see the quality of life improve for my people because all said and done this is still my country of birth. Financial Analyst is my hobby. So trends, investments feasibility, etc is part of my DNA. So my decisions are not based on feelings but must be substantiated with facts and figures. So from that perspective do not refer to me as being biased. I take that as an offense.
