It costs Gods people to speak the TRUTH in its harsh purity, - TopicsExpress

It costs Gods people to speak the TRUTH in its harsh purity, because it makes the pharisees and all of the religious people sneer at them and hate them. Wicked men love the darkness, wicked men hate the light. Light has no fellowship with the Darkness. The word of GOD is a sword according to scripture, so why would you want to dull the blade that cuts into the soul? Doesnt the self righteousness, self autonomy and false view of who Christ is, need to be CRUSHED in order to be rebuilt on Holiness? Fallacy will confuse people more than harsh truths. Its not scare tacticts. These are warnings in love. It is not an unloving thing to speak hard warnings. Speaking hard warnings to people is not unloving. (If in TRUTH people are in danger of having what is *threatened* happen to them, because they are going down the very path that is the path where that kind of thing happens to people. It is not unloving to threaten people with those warnings; if their going in that direction, because the truth is... if they continue to go; what is threatened will be their lot.) ___________________________________________ God is not an overacting God. The setback is we underestimate the degree of our offense, our guilt. Our guilt is on a level that we understand not. The setback lies not in our assessment of His wrath. The setback lies in our assessment of the expressiveness of our sin. That’s whereas it lies. God’s wrath ought to not make us contemplate of an over-reacting God. It ought to make us contemplate of underestimating ridiculous men. God’s wrath is reasonable if we comprehend our sin. You walk up to someone and say,“Sir, God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.” Can you envision telling that to an American? “Sir, God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.” “What? God loves me? Well, that’s outstanding because I love me, too! Oh, this is wonderful. And God’s got a wonderful plan? I have a wonderful plan for my life, too! And if I accept him into my life I’ll have my best life now? This is definitely wonderful!” That is not biblical evangelism. Let me give you something in its place. God comes to Moses and he says this. The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. The reply of Moses: “Moses made haste to bow low in the direction of the earth and worship.” Evangelism begins alongside the nature of God. Who is God? We do not begin with, “God loves you and has a magnificent plan.” We begin with a discourse of the full counsel of who God is. And we tell him from the start it could COST him his life.
