It has been 10 years (almost to the day) since I became a single mother. If you had told me then, (while I lay on my closet floor praying to die) to just hold on, I promise you will love the person you will be in 10 years. You will be happier, stronger and a million times more confident, I would have probably asked you kindly to go away and allow me to die in my own self pitty. 10 years later as I prepare to graduate from college at the top of my class, with honors, with not only a degree in graphics design but certified in web design, animation, a certified photographer and production artist and Adobe specialist. So again this year, as I do every year, I raise my glass and take a moment to thank my ex husband for being such a fake, low down, rotten, lying, cheating piece of crap and stepping aside and allowing me to become the woman that being married to him was only preventing me from being. Life is a million times more satisfying in the sun than it ever was in your shadow.
