It has been a couple of days since my last update on my brother, so I figured many of you are probably curious as to how he is doing. John Deederly is doing a bit better. They decided against emergency surgery on Tuesday. This was a great decision on his surgeons part. He wanted to give him a little more time. As of now his spinal fluid is looking much better. He is much more alert and was even able to sit up in bed today with the help of physical therapy. It doesnt seem like much, but this was his first time sitting up in over 3 weeks. He is a fighter. We arent positive that he wont need more surgeries in the future but right now we are taking things one day at a time. Right now it appears as if things are going in the right direction and I pray it stays that way. He still will be here in ICU for awhile, he is still very critical but we are very hopeful that things will continue to improve. Thank you everyone for your positive thoughts and prayers. My family and I appreciate it very much!
