It has been almost a year for us to gather people across all ages, races, genders, interests and industries; people with dissimilar identity and experience but surprisingly resembling each other with the curiosity, openness and passion burning inside of them at Ideas Agent Meetup. No, we’re not some conservative organization that only let safe people and safe ideas on stage. No, we’re not a group of elitists that looks for potential followers to convert. No, we’re not a conference assembling a bunch of loud talkers but no doers. No, we’re not a self-help platform that exists solely to sell people stuff so that they can be rich and successful. No, we’re not all of those. We believe Penang has emerged as one of the most dynamic city in the region with all the big steps taken by its people; from corporate and governmental to grassroots stakeholders. Besides our rich cultural inheritance, with a healthy dose of foreign culture invasion, we believe almost anything we want to achieve, we can. However, all the doers and movers are segregated and isolated from each other. They don’t communicate or interact much; let alone collaborate much. Resources are limited, time is limited, and so our impact is limited if we do it alone. We need a platform that connects everybody.
