It has been proven that until the brain is fully formed, (around 18 years old) that it has difficulty judging speed and distance. Making learning to cross the road safely very tough and one of the reasons speed limits around built up areas are set as they are. Tonight I witnessed a car being pulled over after having been recorded at 64mph on Ferry Toll Road (30mph limit). This road is one I cross with MY children regularly in order to walk my dog. People complain that the police should have better things to do than harass motorists but when you have people like this on our roads, I for one am pleased that they are there to catch them.
