It has been reported that 119 students at Robert E. Lee High have received letters to go to the Health Department to be tested for a contagious disease. Would you believe that only 19 have been tested after request two weeks ago! Free transportation has also been offered. What the heck is wrong with these parents who won’t get their children tested. If I had my way, I would pull a bus up in front of the school, call their names over the intercom to get on the bus and take them to be tested. And, if a parent complained, I would have the Health Department demand that they be tested also. Why would any parent risk infecting their entire household. Shame on all the students for not going to be tested, after all Robert E. Lee is a high school and all of those students go everywhere else they want to go. AND, DOUBLE SHAME ON THE PARENTS WHO HAVEN’T DEMANDED THAT THEIR CHILD BE TESTED. IF MY CHILD WALKED IN THAT DOOR, LETTER OR NOT, THEY WOULD BE TESTED. WAKE UP FOLKS!
