It is no trick... DSCs Nurse Coordinator, Pam Guess, is the inaugural recipient of the Gloria Valenti Compassionate Care Award, given by the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois! The award was established in honor of Gloria Valenti, RN, a leading health care professional, to honor health care professionals who have touched the lives of others by their compassion and professional standards. They looked for candidates who have demonstrated the importance of care and compassion in interacting with patients, their families and coworkers and skill in communicating and listening attentively. DSC nominated Pam for this award because we feel she is all of these things and more. Please join us in congratulating Pam on receiving this honor!
