It is not our own abilities that give us the glory of God. It - TopicsExpress

It is not our own abilities that give us the glory of God. It comes from the throne of God. When we exalt Jesus Christ, His glory dwells in the midst of the people. When we exalt self, the glory departs. In the days of Eli, it was said that the glory departed from the house of Israel. Eli had allowed his children to walk in rebellion and he did not correct them. When Solomon exalted the Lord at the dedication of the temple and honored God, the glory came. When Jesus was on the Mount of Transfiguration, they saw Him in His glorified state. John saw the glorified Christ on the island of Patmos. Do we want to see the glory of God, then we must cease from exalting self, lying to each other, and exalt Jesus Christ. As the waters cover the sea, so the glory of the Lord shall cover the face of the earth. 3 The cherubim were standing at the south end of the Temple when the man went in, and the cloud of glory filled the inner courtyard. 4 Then the glory of the Lord rose up from above the cherubim and went over to the door of the Temple. The Temple was filled with this cloud of glory, and the courtyard glowed brightly with the glory of the Lord. 5 The moving wings of the cherubim sounded like the voice of God Almighty[a] and could be heard even in the outer courtyard.
