“It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or how the doer of good deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena,” – Theodore Roosevelt. It seems everywhere I look people are getting paid to give their opinion. Whether sports, politics, celebrity lifestyles, even kids, there’s someone playing pundit. Apparently we are watching and listening or else these people wouldn’t have jobs. Why do we value the opinions of others? What do we gain from skeptical slander and theoretical trash talk? There is only one judge, there is only one opinion that truly matters. If you can’t hear the voice of your advocate than you will be beaten down by the sound of your critics. The Holy Spirit uplifts, reassures and discerns between truth and lies. Hear a higher declaration, this is your life not theirs. Don’t be swayed by the hate, ignore the negativity and focus on the positive pontifications of possibility. It is not the critic who counts, don’t give your power to opinions. Listen to your Advocates!!
