It is often said that democracy fails when people discover they can vote themselves money from the treasury. Were starting to see that come to fruition in our nation, even if people dont want to admit it. Last year we reelected one of the worst leaders this nation has ever seen. There was fanfare around the obama phone debacle and other instances where people were clearly voting for Obama on the belief theyd get some of the wealth redistribution he champions without outright saying it. Many of my friends to the left of center pointed to those people and said it was just a very small number of people that believed that and it didnt have any truth. However it has now come to light that 49% of our population is receiving some sort of government benefit. The days of personal responsibility have come to an end. Nearly half of our population is receiving the benefit of the governments decision that they need the fruits of someone elses labor more than the person that actually earned the money. People, if we dont wake up and get our economy and nation back on track were finished. You dont deserve a new iPhone, high def TV, a new car, or designer clothing unless you go out and earn a check to buy those things.
