It is ok for big companies to have payment policies that direct them to make payments 4 weeks AFTER I put in a printed invoice. But they have issues with me as a vendor who has policies to ask for 50% up front payment at the time of confirming the shoot and moreover it is not acceptable if I ask for the remainder of the payment before releasing final images to them. Then there is also the dangling of more shoots, long term partnerships. Apparently they work with photographers all over and have never had anyone ask them for such things before.
