It is ridiculous that every person who criticises the new government are categorised as part of the losing 44%, labelled Raila apologists, puppets of foreign interests, ICC sympathisers etc. The task for the first government to usher in this new political dispensation was always going to be very difficult and we all recognise that and hence understand that they will need time to deal with old as well as new, formidable challenges. I am critical because I am not sure this government and cabinet realise the daunting extent of the task before them. Too much petty politicking and too little strategising, research and reality testing. It is not time to think about support and popularity; you got your mandate when Kenyans voted you in, worry about such issues closer to the 2017 poll. Right now, every Kenyan is well within their right to be highly critical and judgemental primarily because the new dispensation has significantly expanded the gap between our experiences and our expectations. We have the right to demand that those charged with reducing that gap approach the task with a clear and legitimate (read: universal) focus and the utmost seriousness. Marsha Baraza
