It is with a very heavy heart that we must announce that our dad Jose (Tony) Barba passed away yesterday morning (November 22, 2014) at 8am to be with the Lord. Thank you all for all your powerful Prayers sent up to God that worked miracles and gave us three wonderful years with our dad when he was given only days to live. At this time I ask that you keep us all in your prayers to keep our Faith in God during this very painful hard time and to give us all strength to cope with this hurt and pain... Especially our mom and youngest of the siblings, Diana. On November 2011 my dad was very ill and could not eat, was weak and could not breathe. On Jan 7th 2012 our dad was admitted into the hospital but released on Jan 11th 2012, diagnosed with terminal colon cancer and Leukemia, with only a week to live. At a beautiful young 58 years old, our dad passed away at home. His body was tired and could no longer go on. Our dad was fine all week, despite fighting weekly fevers, up until Friday where he could not speak, eat and would not take any of his medication or pain medicine. Painfully he ached through through the night. It hurts us all so bad to know he suffered the last hours of his life. Cancer did NOT win this battle. God called our dad home to heaven to no longer deal with the pain and to be free, happy and be all of our Guardian Angel. Our family and I are so very thankful for all your outreach, support, prayers, kindness and concerns and the donations given in 2012 toward his funeral expenses at All Souls in Long Beach. If permitted and somehow we can raise another $3000 to pay off the final amount for our dads funeral costs, we are aiming to have the viewing this Friday (Black Friday) and funeral on Saturday. The after gathering will be in Gardena. Hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday we will have the dates for you all.
