It is with great sadness that I share the following. Along the Pelotonia journey on Saturday, I stopped to talk to people who lined the streets. This beautiful woman was someone I stopped to talk to for a few minutes to hear about her story. She let me know she had been battling cancer for a while. I told her we were riding for her, and she smiled. She had a sweet smile and had a genuine kindness and gratitude to all of the riders of Pelotonia. Ive learned that she passed of cancer on Sunday morning (one day after I met her along the journey). Her family said that seeing the riders made her happy. I hope this story touches your heart and you can stop and take a minute to send her family love and peace today. And, while you are at it, go tell someone how grateful you are for them. Time waits for noone. The time to do something is today. Dont wait.
