It is with mixed emotions that we write this post...but we just wanted to let you all know that after 4 years, The Gap has played its final encore. They were 4 great years, with road-trips all over SA, packed dancefloors, crazy costumes, electrocutions, daggy hotel rooms, dancefloor hook-ups, first wedding dances, 400 people singing Livin On a Prayer at the top of their lungs with us (go Freeling FC!), Keith Conlon crashing our stage for some air-guitar at the Tourism Awards, and countless laughs and happy times. We are moving on to pursue other individual projects...no tragic plane-crash endings for us! We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years, the pubs, sporting clubs, agents, happy couples who invited us to their weddings and those we celebrated another year with. Also those of you who might not have ever been able to get to one of our gigs but followed our adventures and gave us lots of love here on Facebook, we truly appreciate you all. The biggest thanks goes to Paul, our sound-guy and roadie, photographer, videographer and fetcher-of-drinks, who worked harder than all of us on gig days, loading all our gear in and out, setting up and pulling down, fighting off all the sound-tech experts in the crowd, and enduring many a parking fine whilst unloading his car on footpaths around SA! There at every rehearsal because you wanted to be there and we consider you the 5th member of the band. It always made us smile to look out and see your proud and smiling face in the crowd when our dancefloor was going off! We all love you. These past 4 years have provided us with friendships and fond memories, and for that we are grateful. For those interested in our future endeavours, Satomi continues on with Black Fedora Jazz, Col with Cargo, and Kerri & Andy with their acoustic venture, Red Corduroy - Acoustic Duo, please check out and like our respective pages. Thanks again guys, to finish, have a listen to the following link, the last song we played at every gig.... ROCK ON! Kerri, Andy, Col & Satomi :) :) :) :)
