It really bothers me that seems like no one is even talking about the up coming holiday Thanksgiving instead you see Christmas lights and decorations everywhere with no turkey posters or mention of Thanksgiving. The day that was set aside to give thanks to our forefathers for their hard work and fight against all the governments that were in control of this earth at that time in history so that every person would have a place to live where they could freely read Gods word and worship him in fellowship and prayer without the fear of a government or any power in control of the people punishing them. The founders of this country fought against the most powerful nations in the world at that time to make and keep this place where we live The United States of America the Country free of disbelievers in Jesus Christ. My ninth great-grandparents, John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley, Im proud to say were among the few who came to this land and worked, fought and survived to create what would become the most powerful Nation in the World The United States Of America they brought with them only one Bible they worshiped and gave thanks to only one God. That is the true and only reason we prospered and grew to be the only country where a person can be free to enjoy everyday little things like the choice of the food we eat or the show we watch on TV. Somewhere along the way we have forgotten how this country came to be what it is today and sat back and let the very people our forefathers fought and died to keep out of country not only live among us but to be placed in positions of power and control which if we dont change and stop them will destroy us. There is no other land on earth where we can start over and we shouldnt have to. Lets all pull together and stand up for what is right. I think a good start would be to remind everybody of the facts in history. Push our schools and teachers to not just have the kids dress up as pilgrims and eat turkey but teach them they came here because of God the Father of Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. Prayer was the first and most important thing they done and gave thanks to him for each step they took. Before they left the Mayflower Ship the most important thing they did was to join together in prayer to thank God in Heaven for bringing them to this land and ask him to guide their steps in this new land which we now call home.
