It saddens me that good people are still fired from their jobs every day because they happen to be gay or lesbian. This must end. And for those who say this firing is justifiable in the name of religious freedom, ask yourself whether such institutions therefore should be exempt generally from the same laws that should govern all employers. We as a nation must move past penalizing people simply because of who they are or who they love.
